VAT Report Previews

Hi,

We are currently implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition in 4 countries in the EU (Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary). We have purchased the license for Document and Report Compliance cloud edition (8008260), but up to now have not activated the license for Document and Reporting Compliance for S/4HANA (8013658).

5XU (Document and Reporting Compliance) has always been a scope item in the project, already listed in the DDA. But now, at the end of the Explore phase, it seems like 5XU specifically requires the license for DRC for S/4HANA (8013658) if we want to activate it. Ultimately it all boils down to the need for VAT Report previews, which is essential for us. Without the additional license, it seems like we cannot preview VAT reports.

My main question is if there is any way for VAT Reports to be previewed without requiring the DRC for S/4HANA (8013658) license, or scope item 5XU?

Also, where can I find accurate information about what DRC licenses are required for 5XU?

Hi you should also be activating scope items 1J2. The moment you activate 1J2 you should be able to see the report category and predelivered reports and Reporting entity in setting up statutory repot config id. 

For licence part you should always connect with Account executive SAP assigned for your project.

Hi Aks, thanks a lot for the reply. I'm afraid 1J2 is already activated, but it seems it is not possible to preview VAT reports with it

Both 5XU and 1J2 comes with communication scenarios. Did you enable them?

I assume the communication scenarios have been enabled, it seems to be a prerequisite to activate 1J2 (as shown in the documentation available in Signavio).

Could you please explain how enabling communication scenarios would allow VAT report previews?
