Variant Configuration - Procedure vs Precondition

The issue is the following. I have to constraint the values of a characteristics taking into account the values of the predecesor caharatericti but instead of making a Precondition for each characteristic value I'd prefer to create one procedure for the chararacteristic.

In fact, i've created one procedure and it works, but not as i'd like. I mean, depite the characteristica value of the predecesor characteristica the system shows me all the values of the following characteristic although it only able me two select the correct one (if I chose any incorrect value the systems shows me an inconsistency).

I'd like that, via procedure, depending on the value selected in the previos characteristic the system ONLY displays the valid values in the following caharacterisitc as it occurs with individual preconditions.

That's my code.

Thanks a lot,

Hi Ocr,

Please try with Tables in Precondition for hiding the characteristic value according to other characteristic value.

Ocr Cs,

Precondition do the function to hide the values if conditions doesnt meet, in case of procedure and constraints you will see all values but can only select the valid one.

I am not very clear on your issue is just with

1) display of available values

2)you want to set default the valid values for 1 characterstic based upon values selected for another characterstic.

Also , the screen shot in your post shows you are using PMEVC , try to use CU50 for simulation and see if you face same there to with procedure as during sales order configuration user will see CU50 like screen and options.

If its option 2 from above you can also look into using variant table & procedure to setup values for characterstic 2 based upon values selected for characterstic 1 or you can also use constraints.

Find below few links for more information

Hope it may help you.
