value of fifo-batch

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me exactly where the value of a fifo-element is stored?

Or alternatively how I can re-value fifo-inventory (on an item basis not overall financial value)?

That's sbo 6.5!

Thanks for your time,

Jacques

Hi Jacques,

As I understand you are looking for the current open quantity for particular FIFO batch.

The open, so the quantity which remains on the stock, for each lot is stored in OINM table, filed OpenQty. Please consider that this filed, for each particular batch, is always updated after goods issue.

I hope that it helped,

Hi Maciek,

This hint solved it for me! I wasn't looking for quantity but for value. That's in the same table (duh).

Thanks,

Jacques

Hi All,

Just some hint, if you are not aware of already:

For MSSQL you can use SQL Server Profiler to trace the statements that occur in a particular transaction in SAP Business One (it may be a large number ).

Thus you could identify all tables touched...

HTH,

Frank

PS: In addition, documentation developers are working on an improved DB documentation. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear, when it will be available...

Nevertheless Profiler will always remain useful to give you some more insight into internal processes.

Hello Jacques,

Do you mean which property sets this value?

If this is the case, then check object ItemGroups and then the InventorySystem property. There you will find the enumeration BoInventorySystem.

If you are asking for the Database table, check table OITM field OnHand (Actual Quantity in Stock)

I hope this helps,

Felipe

Hi Felipe,

I'm not looking for the quantity of a batch but for its itemvalue. In a fifo value system, each batch gets its very own value assigned. I would like to know how to retrieve that (so I'm looking for a sub-devision of the onHand value).

Thank you for your time,

Jacques
