User defined field on a row won't update

i just upgraded from 2007A to 8.8.2 PL04. I had a user defined field on the line of the production order  ROW for a comment field but after upgrading, the values i type in do not save. If i use SQL and change the value of the UDF it will save, but when i try to change the udf on the production order it just keeps the value that was there (blank or otherwise updated). Any ideas?  (DFs on the header or master data update just fine.)

PS i can't update them further at this time.

Hi Laura......

I think it is kept on Display Saved Values.

Try keeping on Refresh Regularly.

That may solve your issue.....

i tried that and it didn't make a difference. then i took off the formatted search and it can't even manually update it. But i have a udf on a row on the PO (numeric) and that one updated fine. i don't know if that means its just the production order or now.

Is it closed? No and i tried it in a planned and a released status.just doesnt' want to hold the change. The field is active. i added a new UDF that was numeric-no luck and another alphanumeric one to test- still won't save any values i put in the field.

found out this is a specific bug specific to my version and specific to production order rows only..1693709 - User-Defined Field Production Order - Rows does not store any data
