If you are going in for a technical upgrade refer to

Search on upgrade or ECC6 you may find a lot of threads.

There is also a special topic in the forum heading with ERP2005 Upgrade, with wealth of information.

please note the product is not refered to as ERP 6.0

If you are performing a technical upgrade only things should not be too bad.

What version are you on currently?

What other modules do you use?

Most of the real work is done from a technical point, you will just be testing bespoke code and interfaces.

All of the standard material is on the service market place.

A good place to look is the solution browser which shows you the new functionality you get in the latest versions of ERP.

Please note enhacement pack 2 will come out by the end of this month, and it is worth implementing that.

This is also a note about doc numbers for asset dep.

There is an OSS note about how to keep the variants for your programs and interfaces.

Are you performing a tech upgrade or functional one?

Do you have a lot of bespoke stuff? That is where the problems will be.

SAP recommend removing some bespoke stuff where you can and that you should archive before the project as well.

Lastly, UNICODE upgrades are also very hard and should be performed before the tech upgrade to ERP 6.0

Bespoke stuff, here is referred in the context of old items/records. SAP recommends archiving old stuff, where possible before going in for upgrade.
