Units for A/A type

Former Member

Hi All,

How do i change the units of an A/A type to hours? As of now, there are only days(calender, payroll days) as units, right?

Is there a way of doing it through configuration? How else does one do it?

Thanks,

vivek

Hi Vivek,

Yes, It takes zero as blank and this works out only if you check the field "less than 1 day" in the associated counting rule for that absence/Attendance type. Please try it will surely works.

Hi All,

Thanks for you reply.

I have set minimum duration to 000 in V_554S_B.

And the check for defining counting rules, the tab for condition for attendence / absense <1day is also checked.

It is still counting it in terms of days.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot for your answers ...

In the same table select the unit as 'K' calendar days and without that and try please.

Hi all,

I tried setting the minimum duration to 000 (for allowing less than one day duration).

But when I set it, it resets itself to blank.

So I donot know if it retains its value at 000 or not.

Can anyone suggest whether it is alright?

Thanks,

Hi,

Its right, Blank denotes 0. The system automatically consider a value 0.

HI All,

Whether it is quota/non quota based A/A type . You can define an absence type in hours/days via the table V_T554S.

Here in the minimum days you should not select any thing if it ZERO then system will automatically allows you to apply leave in hours. And in unit you can choose calendar or payroll days.

Try this it solves your purpose..if it works for you ...rewards +++

Hi Vivek,

Go to the table V_556R_B and then select the radio button for Hours.

Hi Om,

thanks a lot for the reply.

I still had a doubt. Can we change the units at the AA type level?

As in can you tell me what is the Table / view for this? I went in Time Management and inthat define absence quotas, and there the units were at the subtype level.

Can this be done at the A/A type level? (Kindly give the view / table name).

Thanks,

vivek

Hi,

Why do you want to maintain the units in A/A types level. Because every A/A type is having Quota type. So eligibility of A/A type is maintained in Quota level. So, it is always advisable to maintain the unit in Quota.

Look at the table T556A,R.

Good Luck

Hi,

Please choose the radio button for hours or days under Time Data Recording and Administration - Absences - Absence Catalog - Absence Counting - Rules for Absence Counting - Define Counting Rules - Deduction rules for absence / attendance quotas.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

You have to maintain the Units in the Deduction Rule. You have the option to select either hours or Days.
