Actually this schema has two major functionality -

The schema imports and processes time data that has been entered online ( what does one mean by entered online)

. It is used for:

  • All employees for whom time evaluation is not run ( *like Salaried employee is that what it means here*)

  • All days of the payroll period that have not yet been processed in time evaluation when payroll is run ( * Didn't understand this part either ")

SAP Guru's please elaborate on this further

Yes was able to make some sense out of it, but if payroll can do the time eval part why run Time Eval in the first place

Good question.

1. If TE is run thru TC00 while payroll processing then only time wage types are formed. Other special features of TE like quota accrual, time balance formation etc cannot be done in payroll processing using TC00.

Having said that. If TE is run while processing payroll then also a retro active accouting is triggered when u run TE from the date the Time data was taken care in payroll.

So even if you process time data in payroll using TC00 the same data is processed again when you run TE, thus forming accruals and time balances. The formation of time wage types is already done in payroll part.

Actually this schema has two major functionality -

It means data that has been entered into infotypes. Basically all time related data is stored in infotypes from IT 2001 to IT 2013. No matter what the recording method the data in these is treated in the same way in time evaluation.

The standard procedure is that first you run time evaluation which will populate time wage types in ZL table ( Also C1 and ALP tables). These tables act as interface between time eval and payroll. When payroll is run the data from these internal tables is used. However, if time evaluation is not run then payroll runs time evaluation and populates ZL table. Hope u got it now

This is again same as explained above for days which TE is not run for those days TE is run in payroll using TC00.
