Hi Team

We are unable to transport the OIM changes for GL Account

Account balance is equal to zero, but the account contains postings

Diagnosis
You have changed the Open Item Management option (SKB1-XOPVW). However, the general ledger account contains postings for the current fiscal year, the prior year, or the year preceding the prior year.
Procedure
Changing the setting for this option merely changes account control. Items posted up to this date are not automatically switched to the changed setting.
If this option is subsequently activated, the existing line items are not converted to 'open items'.
We therefore recommend that you proceed as follows:
Use the job template Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts in program Schedule Accounting Data Changes to retroactively change the indicator for open item management. For more information,
Message no. FH190

In the long text of error  FH190

You are recommended
"Use the job template Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts in program Schedule Accounting Data Changes to retroactively change the indicator for open item management"

This is the solution.

Why can't I change the open item management setting in development system.

First, it depends which kind of open item management you use. Different methods are possible for open item management, open item management by ledger group, and extended open item management. For example, for open item management, when you try to save a change to the Open Item Management indicator in the Manage G/L Account Master Data app, the development system communicates with the production system to check if it’s possible to make such a change. The production system checks and makes sure that the affected account has a zero balance and no postings. If the systems determine that the change is allowed, it is included in the next transport from the development system to the production system. If the systems determine the change isn’t allowed, you must schedule a job in the Schedule Accounting Data Changes app using the Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts job template. For more information about all three kinds of open item management, see Open Item Management for G/L Accounts.
