Unable to add the component in the production order

Hello Experts,

I'm trying to add a component in the production order and getting an error. the component which I'm trying to add has the Base Unit of measure maintained as "M"-Meter in the material master but when I try to add this component in the production order the UOM is correctly getting determined as "M" but when I try to save the production order I'm getting the error "Unit of measure EA not allowed acc. to material master" - Message no. L0700. Can someone help me why this is blocking as I informed that component's Base UOM is "M" and also I have cross checked the material master the Alternate UOM relation is maintained for the "EA" and "M".

Are you adding the component to the bill of material using CS02 or are you clicking on the component overview inside the production order to add the component?

Need both entries M = M & 2nd row M = EA.
