There are two types of request :

1. Customization request

2. workbench Request.

Hi

Customizing requests are the one which will comes from functional as a part of configuration chages

Workbench requests are the one which comes from developers as a part of code changes.

Hi,

These two type of request are transportable it's status can be release or modified depending on the it's state.

i.e Release request is one which are release by the one landscape and is ready to transport to the other landscape. while modified status request is in non-transportable form and you can further modify this type of request.

so, Abapers will work on workbench request..and functional guy will work on customization request..
