Dear All,

observed that two different Units of measurement (UOM) are showing in CS03 (G) and CS12 (KG) for same base qty for a material

Actual UOM is G and also consumption is happening in G

why is it so. from where CS12 fetches the Master Data.

Regards

Kv

In STD SAP itself, system will give the Link between G and KG

for more clarification Go to CUNI, select the mass

select the Gram click the declare SI unit, you can see the KG

You have 'G' as unit of measurement for the components in BOM, where the base UOM is KG. You didn't need to maintain any conversion factor in material master as KG to G conversion is system defined (ISO codes).

In CS12, in the layout you have two separate values for component qty:

Calculated Component Quantity in Component Unit of Measure (as per the UOM maintained in BOM)

and

Calculated Component Quantity in Base Unit of Measure or Comp qty(BUn) [Base unit in material master].

Now you can have both the values from the report CS12.

Dear did you maintained any alternate unit of measure in MM additional data check in MM03?

Just check the component consumption value in both Kgs and G,the value which is showing in CS12 should be converted value in Kgs?

Cheers

Dear check the issue unit of measure in Plant Data/Storg 1 view and convert the G in to Kgs and see whether CS12 is showing correct value in KGs ?
