Transport AVC config from DEV to PRD

Hi community,

I need some help in understanding the mechanism for transporting or moving the products and their AVC configuration from DEV system into PRD system. We are currently creating the products and their configuration in DEV, once finished, do we need to repeat the effort manually in production?

I've found some documentation explaining that for LO-VC the procedure is to replicate the products and the knowledge base using ALE. Is this same method still used in the latest version of S4 while using AVC?

Any references to documentation, manuals, official documentation is greatly appreciated.

Yes, ALE is still the relevant method to transfer AVC objects. I have not seen the latest release features yet but I do not think any service/feature available from DRF so it is ALE or manual set up as far as I know

Hi Pablo, please check out various ALE Transaction to transfer AVC object one by one. e.g. BD91 for char, CLD1 for config profile, CLD3 and CLD4 for variant table, CLD2 /CUK2 for dep and dep-net, BD92 for class, BD10 for Materials etc.

section 3.2 - discusses the optional PDR (product data replication) tool
