Hi
We have Semi Finished Good A, which is used later in Semi Finished Good B,
SFG B is used to produce FG1, FG2, and FG3
we have to prepare Finished Goods wise Profit & Loss in COPA. All production variances are settled in CO-PA at the time of process order settlement. So SFGs and FGs variances are available in CO-PA.
The problem is that we have to transfer SFG variances to their respective FGs, because no line item / column is required in P & :L
Please help how can we transfer SFG varainces to FG variances?
Hi,
SFG and FG are two different products with different production orders.
both of them have their own variances, if SFG variance is transferred to FG then this is not correct what i think.
Just wait for other replies.
Thanks & Regards,
Ravi Kumar

Hi Chris
Your requirement is quite valid.. You will need Material Ledger to do it in a full fledged way
Companies not on ML use COPA Top Down Distribution (KE28).. You need to decide whether you will Distribute SFg1 variances on SFG2 and SFG 2 to FG 1 /2 / 3
OR
you will straight awat distribute each SFG varince to FG directly.. This one is simpler ofcourse
In both of these mechanisms, you will need an "identifier".. i.e. One common field in SFG and FG Material master like Mat group etc which can tell the system during Top down that these are related products

Ajay,
This is rather old post. But I have the same issue. As per SAP documentation in top down distribution both sender and receiver can not be the same characteristics. As a result SFG material variances can not be distributed to FGs material using top down distribution.
Is there any other method of distributing SFG variances to FGs.
