Transaction type for the legacy data for Auc

Former Member

Dear Experts,

When i use the AS91 to load the legacy for Auc, the system issues the error ' Trans. type 900 can only be used for legacy assets from prev. years'

The asset value data is '2011/04/05', the transaction type is 900. The asset transfer data is '2011/04/25'

Should I have to use the transaction for the Auc's legacy data input? Can i choose other transaction tpye like 100?

Hi,

According to me even if you choose transaction type 100 still it wont make any difference as the AUC values will only be posted and no depreciation is calculated as AUC assets are having depreciation key as '0000'. Still lets see what other Asset Masters needs to say about this.

Malhar.

Malhar,

Changing the transaction type to 100 seems to be working. But I don't know the ramification yet. Will see.

Thanks

Hi Sophie

SAP recommends to use Tr Type 900 for AUC and use start date of the FY as the Value date for AUCs

So, use 01/01/20xx as the Value date for AUC... This does not impact the dep because AUCs have 0000 dep key

Dear Ajay ,

Thanks a lot for you reply.

I wonder why shoud use the first day of the fiscal year as the Value date for AUC, since the Auc doesn't post to dep.

For what purpose, and what if i use transaction type 100 for the legacy data input of Auc? Is it appropriate?

Hi

100 is used for uploading Non AUC assets

900 is used for AUC.. AS per SAP recommendation, 01/01/20xx to be used when uploading AUC... I misplaced that SAP note which says so

Normally changing the asset val date impacts the dep calculation.. Since, AUC has 0000 dep key, it does not impact Dep calculation

Ajay,

I am also loading FA records from legacy system using LSMW. I got the same error. My capitalization date is 10/1/2012 (Oct 1st, 2012) which is also the FY begining date. I am still getting that same error as Sophie did.

Can the posting date be different from the value date when using tty 900? Currently, the posting date is the same as the Value date. Migration transfer date is 31.07.2023, while the start of FY is 01.04.2023. So when using tty 900 in ABLDT_OI_AUC, the dates are grayed out and it adopted the 01.04.2023. Is this normal behavior? we need to post in 31.07.2023 but retain the asset value date to 01.04.2023, is this possible?
