Hello Guru:
How to use the transaction OBIA? I execute it and want to define some rules.
But what are there just the item number and field name, where is the rule?

Thanks.

Hi,
OBIA is used to define rules for Automatic clearing (F.13). There are a set of fixed system criteria for this clearing: Company code, Account type, Account number, Reconciliation account number, Currency key and Special G/L indicator.
If you do not define anything in OBIA, the above criteria is used to select open items.
Now, say you want to also add business area to be one of the criteria. This is where OBIA comes into the picture. In OBIA, create a clearing rule (2 character name). Select that and then go into the cleaing rule fields. Enter the item number as 1, Select field GSBER from the dropdown. Save and you rule is ready. It is called a rule, as the clearing program will use this as one of the criteria for selecting open items for clearing.
The program groups items according to a maximum of five user criteria.
Cheers.

Thanks for the answer.
So what is the difference between OBIA and OB74?
Thanks.
Eric
After you make a new entry for FI clearing rule, select it and go to Clearing rule fields and define the fields according to which the clearing will take place.
Cheers!
