Hi Akshata,

It depends on the user code which can be inserted into Transaction Notification stored procedure.

In practical you can update and remove the entries using SQL commands but it is not a good practice and not recommended which may result into complication and crash.

Thanks.

Dear sir,

We are not removing or updating the entries through SQL. The transaction notification doesn't have any command like Update....It has only If-then command.

I want to ask one more question this transaction notification query may affect while Upgrading SAP.

Thanks & Regards,

Akshata

Hi,

I suggest to comment out the transaction notification to avoid failure upgrade.

You may check the solution part of this sap note below:

1477614  - Upgrade to 8.8 failed when upgrading Legal List Format
Version   4   Validity: 19.10.2010 - active
Language   English

Content:      Summary    |    Header Data    |    References    |    Validity    |    Attachments

Symptom

You upgrade the company database to 8.8. Although the pre-check is passed, the upgrade fails when upgrading Legal List Format, when there are user codes in store procedure [SBO_SP_TransactionNotification] or [SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice] referring to user tables which are not existing.

Cause

Application error.

Solution

Workaround: Please temporarily comment out the code in the store procedure [SBO_SP_TransactionNotification] or [SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice] before the upgrade.
(Section: ADD YOUR CODE HERE)

It should be the same as in the attached SBO_SP_TransactionNotification.txt or SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice.txt file.
Upon completion of the upgrade, you can set it again to the required status.

SAP intends to provide a patch or patches in order to solve the problem described.
The section Reference to Related Notes below will list the specific patches once they become available.
The corresponding Info file of the patches in SAP Service Marketplace will also show the SAP Note number.
Be aware that these references can only be set at patch release date.
SAP will deliver patches only for selected releases at its own  discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

Hi Akshata......

It does not affect anything if it has no update command.

Rahul
