While creating sales order iam getting the following errror for trading materials

Internal number assignment not defined (please enter number)

Message no. 06243

Diagnosis

The system cannot assign a number because internal number assignment has not been defined in this case.

Procedure

Enter a number that lies within the valid number range for the document.

if i enter normal material it is not giving any message

but if i remove order quantity of trading material in sales order it is not giving any message

am using item category group for trading banc and material type is zawa

wat might be the problem

plz can any suggesst me

Hi rahul

define number range for the material type

and try to create another trading material (HAWA) and just check .

If still problem exits you need to integrate with the MM consultants

I think this is related to MM part.

I am not sure but as per you error , i think

Genereally when you create a material an internal number will be assigned , that is not being assigned for the material type HAWA (trading goods) , internal number range is not got assigned or you have not assigned ,that is why it is giving error

Go to OMS2 and check the material type HAWA (trading goods)

compare with another material type FERT (finished goods) if any thing is missing just check and try again by creating the sales order.

Use Tx Code FBN1 and assign no. range.

Assign Account group with your partner determination procedure.
