Three same material document number generated for single PO line item.

Hi,

I found three same material number has been generated for single PO line item. Is there any specific reason for this.

Here is the detail.

LN qty

PO history for LN 10

Mat doc qty price

it is not possible in SAP that any two diffrent document have same number . check in tabel it will be sigle document number entry , it may possible that report is showing three times same document.

Yes, it happend.

I posted the issue after looked into PO history and PO history table EKBE.

There are three document posted at same time with same amount with same number.

I don't know any clue right now.

Ravikant,

Its a lower version of SAP, I posted the document by MB0A using delivery note and vendor number.

MB0A - GR for unknown PO

just go and check MB51 and check the all material document number , tell me how many material document number it is shwoing for that material .

MB51 is also showing three documents with same number.

your problem is becoming more complex,

plz check the entries in table MSEG and see the number of entries for the material document number .

let me know , is there multiple entries exist .

The only surprising thing is

MKPF is having one entry

but

MSEG is having again three entries.

see aditya , tables having document number as a primairy key will have a single entry , where as tables having primary key other then material documnet number is having multiple entries . as far as material document is concern , it is only one document in system , now we have to find why it is appearing 3 times . i will test this in my system and let you know .
