The solution package does not have the right format or does not exist

Hi All,

I have created pak file through solution packager. Then I try to create a new DB through selecting the function in SAP "New From package" and when try attach pak file the below error is coming.

"The solution package does not have the right format or does not exist".

Does anybody know how to get around this error?

The customer is running 8.81 PL09.

What is your solution packager version? When did you download it?

The version is 2.3 - it comes in the Packages Folder of the 8.81 PL09 files.

Hello Mark,

You are correct so do one think you just start form PL09 folder

Means directly installed form SAP B 1 PL 09 folder then it will installed.

I have gone through same error when i import same package from SAP choose company option.

Actually we have found that this error occurs when you try to Create a Database from Package on the SAP Server.

If you do it from a Client machine then it works ok.

Hello Mark,

It is tool with the help of we can make package file for existing SAP company.

If you got solution then ok.

I just want to share that

first installed exe setup file which is in SAP Business One software folder.

Then go to Start >All Programes>SAP Busines One >Solution packager

select Solution Packager and make new package for othere same client.

After that you can select package from New Package.
