​The components of the production order are not assigned to the correct operation

Hello Experts,

We have an issue where when the production order is created the components of the production order is getting assigned with the wrong operations, whereas the data is maintained correctly in the Routing and BOM.

Consider the Routing has 4 operations and 8 components:

Operation 1000 --> Component A & B are assigned

Operation 2000 --> Component C & D are assigned (Alternate item group is maintained in BOM for both the components)

Operation 3000 --> Component E & F are assigned

Operation 4000 --> Component G&H are assigned (Alternate item group is maintained in BOM for both the components)

Now when the production order is created for the above scenario and the details as follows:

Components A&B are correctly assigned to operation 1000

Components C&D are correctly assigned to operation 2000

Components E&F are correctly assigned to operation 3000

Components G&H are wrongly assigned to operation 2000 instead of operation 4000.

Can you please suggest me what could be the reason for this behaviour.

If it is against SAP ME, then please submit a support ticket to MFG-ME-INT component.
