Synchonization of asset and Equipment

Hi Experts,

We have an issue at synchronization of asset and Equipment. Here the requirement is from the asset master to populate License Plate number(ANLZ-KFZKZ) into the Equipment (FLEET- LICENSE_NUM). it should be happen when we create the asset (T code AS01). But it is not populated. All the Required configuration is done. Even though it is not getting populated.

In the Equipment master, Fleet tab is not coming. but the other fields are populating in Under some other tabs in the equipment like 'Organization" Tab based on the Configuration.

Please assist me in this case if you have any idea that we need to do anything and where we should check both functional and technical perspective. Thanks in advance.

Hi Siva,

In standard, SAP has given only limited fields which can be updated from Asset to Equipment or vise versa.

Financial Accounting (New) - Asset Accounting - Master Data - Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records - Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment

Now, to include your field, then request your abaper to include it in Structures SAAPM1 and SAAPM2 using Customer Exit AAPM0001.

Hi Terence,

Thanks fro your quick response. It is not possible as per the standard sap. we can update only through batch job. before that we will run one custom t code which is created by developer. Thanks.

Hi Siva,

Check whether you have done these configuration setup

1. Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Technical Objects - Equipment - Maintain Equiment Category

Hopefully, you have maintained this.

2. Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Settings for Fleet Management - Assign View Profile and Equipment Categories to Fleet Object Types

Here you need to maintain Vehicle Type (Type of Technical Object) and assign the same to the Equipment Category

3. Assign the Vehicle Type in the Equipment Master, so you will get the new tab related to fleet management.

Hi Terence,

We have already done all the configuration as you said. but here the requirement is License number should be update from asset to the equipment under the "Feet" tab automatically when we create the asset. Thanks.
