Dear Experts,

When using SAP B1 10.0 WebClient, sometimes I get Switch Company Error error message. The same message sometimes, when we send a request comes in with SLD API. Have you ever encountered this error before?Br,AhmetC

Dear Ahmet and Alessandro,

Such issues should normally be resolved by reinstalling Service Layer (SVL) as per below:

Windows:

  1. Uninstall Service Layer.
  2. Delete the Service Layer folder.
  3. Install Service Layer.
  4. Restart the server.
  5. Use Webclient (or a similar component where SVL is used), and see if the error is reproducible.

SAP HANA:

  1. Navigate to the SAP Business One folder: /usr/sap/SAPBusinessOne
  2. Run the setup: ./setup
  3. Select the option to uninstall.
  4. Proceed to select Service Layer.

If the issue persists, collect and analyze the detailed logs of Service Layer.
If no avail even after the above, I suggest that you contact Support and provide the relevant detailed logs as per the following:

Windows:

  1. Navigate to ...\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\ServiceLayer\Conf
  2. Edit the file httpd-b1s-lb.conf
  3. Change the property LogLevel from warn to LogLevel debug.
  4. Save the changes and exit the file.
  5. Restart the Service Layer service.

The detailed logs are to be collected from under: ...\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\ServiceLayer\logs. The error logs are error_xxxxx_log_xxxx_xx_xx.

Linux:

  • The SVL logs can be configured at: /usr/sap/SAPBusinessOne/ServiceLayer/conf/
  • The SVL logs can be retrieved at: /usr/sap/SAPBusinessOne/ServiceLayer/logs/

Make sure that you change all the settings back after your checks (!) to avoid performance issues.
