We have scenario where our goods have alternative unit of measurement for being issued to production order.
Now due to which our material gets reduced in fraction like inventory is showing 0.95 EA
Now while subcontracting we want the unit to be 1 EA.
How to achieve this.

Hi,
You mean you are not able to issue to subcon vendor with alternater UoM? If the UoM is maintained in lower fractional units and fractions are issued to the orders then system will update the stocks with the lowest UoM and any fraction quantity below higher UoM single unit will not allow to enter the UoM in higher UoM.
Pls clarify which is your main UoM and alternate (fractional) UoM

Hi Shiva,
Consider the following e.g.
In MM we have maintained for a component which is assigned in the bom
Mat x ( component) 1 EA = 100 USE
In work scheduling tab - unit of issue is USE.
Now if 5 use is issue to the production order consequently your EA gets reduced to 0.95 EA
The component is such that we need to send it to the subcontractor sometimes for repair where we cant show issue as 0.95 EA it should be 1 EA.
How to achieve this

Hi,
Since your UoM is fractioned and used out in fractions the main unit is recalculated with respect to sub UoM hence system cannot allow you to post less than 1EA.
However try changing Decimal Pl Rounding for EA (Main UoM) =2 in CUNI and test (Iam not sure system will let round off)
Or you can change the issuing criteria as USE.
Shiva
where to maintain the rounding profile.
Hi,
IMG>> Log Gen>> Qty Optimizing & Allowed Logistics units of Measure...
Pls read the Performance Assitant documentation to help you understand. I feel it should be helpful to your issue, since even if you set the rounding settings you have only 0.95 USE units in alternt UoM the quantities are short for issuing 1EA. Check if it works for you.
However basic logic is if your main UoM is subdivided in to further fractions and part of it is consumed, the main main UoM is updated to maintain the equation, hence you cannot issue 1EA due to this fact.
I would suggest allow negative stocks for the issuing storage location would also help you to post 1EA although you have 0.95 USE.
Chk n revert
