Sub contracting

Hi all,

In subcontracting Senario Suppose

I want to subcontract one Cutter .(Not single time may be 3-4 times )

How to process this type of scenario..

Hi Vivek

Why dont you try this with Service PO. YOu only pay cutter sharping charges and then capitalize expenses.For this in Service PO along with item categotry D mention account assignment A.

1)Raise a subcon PO with item category "L".

2)Put the components u want to supply to the vendor

3) U can give full quantity in the PO and then recieve partial quantitities as much time u want

4)For this while doing MIGO,edit the quantities of components consumed by the vendor

Dear Vivek.

If you want to procure a cutter throgh Subcontract process , the first manadatory point is that you must provide ATLEAST ONE COMPONENT to the supplier to produce this item ( in your case: cutter).If this is so following is the process

1) We have to provide at least one component to the vendor.

2) Components given to vendor are listed in PO

3)Components are determined via BOM

4) Can be requested through PR & can be converted in PO / Scheduling agreement under Item Category" L "

5) PO is placed on finished code.

6) we issue goods to vendor to provide components to vendor ( special stocks O)

7)GR is done as per finished good.At the same time consumption of the component is posted
