Dear all consultants,

mostly these are basic Questions but i need straight forword answers to present this topic

1. What is Capacity Planning? what are the Advantages and Disadvantages by using in production order?

2. How can we see previous month Utilisation of load for one work centre?

3. how it is loading and over loading while running the production Order & where it will effect?

4.How can we see 4 to 5 work centres load for particular production order no.?

5. what are the benefits by using capacity planning in prod order?

6. Is their more effect related to Cost centre by assigning to work centre?

Hi,

     You can find answers for these by searching in Google / SCN. Just i am answering pin-pointedly, go through the forum for details because it is not a small topic to be explained in a single post.

1. What is Capacity Planning? what are the Advantages and Disadvantages by using in production order?

Ans:  Capacity planning helps in effective utilization of the capacity and avoids any overloads. No specific disadvantages for capacity planning.

2. How can we see previous month Utilization of load for one work center?

Ans: CM01, CM02, CM03, CM04, CM05 (Menu > Settings > General > Adjust the start and finish dates / months)

3. How it is loading and over loading while running the production Order & where it will effect?

Ans: When any production order is created / released which is attached to a routing having a particular work center, based on the scheduled time and date that work center will be preoccupied (loaded). When you try to use the same work center on the same day & same time the system will give a msg (E/W/I) based upon the configuration done.

4.How can we see 4 to 5 work centers load for particular production order no.?

Ans: CM01, CM02, CM03, CM04, CM05 (give the input as production order by changing the Overall profile, Menu > Planning > Profiles > Overall Profiles)

5. what are the benefits by using capacity planning in prod order?

Ans: Same as first question

6. Is their more effect related to Cost center by assigning to work center?

Ans: There is no effect of cost center on capacity
