Hi,

In strategy 30 you do not create PIRs, only sales orders are created. It is very similar to make to order. If you want PIR reduction at the time of delivery and push production by PIRs, use strategy 10. Also look at strategy 40 in which PIR allocation takes place at the time of sales order creation. When using these strategies be sure that requirement classes are assigned to PIRs and sales orders as described in SAP help.

Regards.

Dear,

Strategy 30

1. Both PIR & sales order requirements will taken by MRP.

2. Planned independent requirements are not consumed by sales and stock orders.

3. Stock left over from previous procurement can be used for any other sales order.

4. Planned orders will be created for both sales order quantity 100 Pcs & Demand quantity from MD61 as 100 Pcs.

5. Reduction pf PIR is same as Strategy 10.

Hope it will help you.

Hi,

- This strategy 30 is useful for companies that mainly produce for major customers but who also require the option of selling smaller requirements from stock. Example for industry : Contract-based industries, such as automotive suppliers for spare parts

- Sales order requirement will create planned order with no effect to Planned Independent Requirement (PIR).

- Stock is taken into account by reduce the planned order

dear expert,

I have tested below scenario my PlR= 120, SO=70, Avail Stock = 50 but when i am perfoming MRP run system will generate 2 Pl orders. Against PIR & SO system first do the net requriment cal means my first Pl order would be 70 & second also 70.

But when i am doing delivery my PIR would be reduced against deliver qty request you kindly advise me am right or wrong.

For PIR reduction i need to activate consumtion mode in material master level or how can reduce the PIR.

Kindly advise. As best way you give me sample scenario also with its result how the system behave.
