Stocktransfer from neutral stock to orders on hand with EWM

Hello,

In our project, we implemented a scenario where we produce neutral material on stock and pick it later for delivery.
Now we want to move this stock into stock type "orders on hand" to reserve it for a special customer.

After analyzing the system, we found the app "manage Stock" that allows to create but not move stock into orders on hand.
Furthermore, we use EWM for stock movement.
Old goods movement methods in migo don't work or are not applicable.

Is this possible in Public Cloud?

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the ‘Orders on Hand’ stock type is typically used for sales order stock, which is created when a sales order is issued, not through a manual stock transfer. For your scenario, you might consider using the ‘Reserve for Other Users’ functionality in the ‘Manage Stock’ app. This allows you to reserve specific stock for a particular purpose, similar to what you’re trying to achieve with the ‘Orders on Hand’ stock type. However, this doesn’t move the stock to a different stock type, but rather flags it as reserved within its current stock type.

As for the Warehouse Management (EWM) aspect, EWM is fully integrated and any stock movements or changes made in the Inventory Management apps should be reflected in EWM. However, specific EWM functionalities like creating Warehouse Tasks for the stock transfer would need to be handled in EWM-specific apps like ‘Create Warehouse Tasks’.
