Stocks are zero in plants but still not able to activate batch management

The Stocks is zero in plants but still not able to activate batch management for a material in a plant in the Material Master

When viewing the "Display errors" screen in the Change Material app , it still shows  'Stocks already available in Plant Level'

Why is it showing  'Stocks already available in Plant Level' ?

Please check in the Display Material app for the material involved and the plant stock view or storage location stock view , under previous period it will show stock is available

The message that stocks still exist refers not only to stocks in the current period, but also to stocks in the previous period.

The reason for checking previous period stocks is that postings can also be made to the previous period when entering goods movements

Ensure that no stocks exists in actual and previous period. See SAP Note 30656 , for an example on how to get zero stocks
