Stock selection process during the creation of picking tasks

We have a question regarding the stock selection process during the creation of picking tasks in the warehouse management system in S/4HANA Public Cloud. Generally, a FIFO rule is used for stock selection during picking, making the automatic warehouse task creation functionality generally valid. However, in some specific cases, the client requires the ability to pick certain handling units (HUs), allowing the user to manually select the HUs they wish to pick for a particular delivery during the creation of the picking task. This would be similar to the functionality in EWM when creating picking tasks in the "Stock Can Be Removed" tab.

We use the Create Pick Warehouse Tasks button in the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders APP, with this option the system does not allow us to select specific HUs; is it possible to do this manual selection in warehouse management S/4HANA Public Cloud?

Dear SAP Community,

Yes, in the S/4HANA Public Edtion system, this functionality is also available. Inside the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders APP, I would recommend checking the button "Related Apps" - Go to the APP "Create Warehouse Tasks".

Then the view will be quite similar to the EWM On-prem product, you can select the HU when creating picking tasks in the "Stk Can Be Removed" tab.
