stock differences in MM03

Hi MM experts,

Within MMBE for a purchased part, we show a stock of 24,000. However, when I look in MM03 on the Accounting 1 tab, I get a negative stock of -20,000.

Can anyone explain the difference.

In MM03 the stock includes stock in transfer, quality, block and return. So check the stock using MB52 and tally it with MM03 stock. Both should match.

Hi Rajan,

I've tried your suggestion but the Accounting 1 tab in MM03 shows a negative stock of -26,937 whilst MB52 shows stock as 24,063.

How about stock in Plant stock tab in material master?

How much unrestricted? Quality? Block? ......

In MB52 did you find any stock in transit or in block or in return type ?

There's nothing in transit nor block or returned.

Check Inventory management & physical inventory -> Goods issue/transfer posting -> Allow negative stocks.(OMJ1)

If negetive stock is allowed in your system.

In MB52 and MMBE check the selection criteria carefully.
