start addon problem

I can't start my addon from Add-on manager.

When I try to start addon , I got a file download window with message "Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not trust the source..." (It looks like IE warning message)

My add-on is written in vb.net and runs fine in VS.NET.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

Atipon

Hi Atipon,

Whenever I install an add-on on a new customer site where they have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed on the client computer it comes up with a Windows Firewall warning message asking if the program should be unblocked. Maybe this is similar to your problem. If I say Yes, Unblock it works great and I don't see the message again after that.

Hope it helps,

Adele

Hi,

Thanks, but even if I say yes it's still error to load addon. But I found the solution myself, kind of weird solution. I just change the assembly name from "Project1.exe" to something else such as "MP.exe" and it works!

Thanks
