SSL certificate for ODATA & Compound API

Former Member

Hi all,

I have used ODATA API to upsert data and compound API for fetching data from Successfactors. I have used Basic authentication for enabling the transmission between API and Successfactors. It establishes the connection, data are transmitted within the two ends. Now there is a situation to use Certification based authorization replacing the Basic authentication. In order to do so, first we need to get the Certificate from the target end ( third party system ) and get the approval from successfactors and store it in Keystore.

I have a question to understand who will be handling it to deploying the certificate in Keystore and what are the other process involved in doing this steps ?

Kindly help to set up this way for transmission.

Thanks & Regards,

If you can use OAuth then you don't need the certificate itself, you can configure the connection directly in SAP SuccessFactors using the X.509 certificate in Admin Center (Company Settings > Manage OAuth2 Client Applications).
