Solution needed for FIFO principle

Hi all,

Need your valuable inputs and workaround that can be done for the below requirement.

Valuation Method : FIFO

Item : Excisable

SAP BUSINESS ONE does not allow amendment to a po when transactions are been done.

1) I have made a purchase order (PO NO : 1)  for ITEM A.

  10 QTY FOR 5 RS

I have done all the transactions and outgoing payment has been done.

So now my inventory for item A is 10 qty.

Requirement:There is a change in price on the first PO and extra 2 rupees must be paid to the vendor in reference with the first po.

PO amendment is not possible in the first po and i am not ready to go with credit note due to few constraints at company level.

I have raised a PO for the same item with 0.0001 qty  included the additional 2 rupees on the document level

and made a udf as amendment 1 in reference to PO 1.

I have followed the rest all transactions normally.

Now my inventory for item A is 10.0001 QTY

Is there any possibility to knock off exactly that  0.0001 qty from my inventory.

Note: Valuation Method is FIFO.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Hi Dinesh,

Do Goods Issue for that qty...

Goods Issue

  • The Goods Issue window lets you decrease the inventory level in situation that is not the direct result of adding a sales document.
  • For example, if some units of an item suffer damage in a warehouse, they cannot be sold and are removed. In such a case, you can post a separate goods issue using the function described here.
  • Goods issues will result in an decrease of stock in the warehouse.
  • Effect of Goods Issue:
  • The  total value of inventory  is calculated by Quantity multiplied with Unit Cost.
  • The total value of inventory is credited to “Inventory Account”and debited towards “Stock Difference Loss Account (i.e. Inventory Offset - Decrease Account)”

Hi Aravind Gade,

How will i do my good issue for that particular 0.0001 quantity because here price is also involved.

Even if i do a goods issue of 0.0001 qty FIFO will consider and post price of 0.0001 qty when the first ten qty are sold of.

Use Inventory Revalution and Inventory Counting.....
