Simulation cannot be created: Could not add BOM component to configuration session

Hello!

We are in S4 Public Cloud and I am trying to simulate variant configuration model. We are using Order BOM as process and here is how the config profile looks like:

Now I am trying to simulate by entering the following parameters:

And when I hit OK I get the following error message: "Could not add BOM component xxxxxx to configuration session".

Note that - there are two components in the BOM and the error is generated for one component. The other is working fine as I have tested that in the sales order variant config screen:

Any idea what may cause this issue? I have tried this in our starter system and it works fine - we are facing this error in the customizing system.

I figured the issue. The component which was causing the error had a special procurement key that pointed to another location. Now the component was not defined in that source location. The error was resolved upon extending the component to the source location.
