$ sign on check printing

Gurus,

We are trying to print checks for Canada. The requirement is to print the $ sign on check. It should be straight line on the checks. But, in the print preview I could see this sign. But, when I print the check to the printer, it's printing not a straight line just like the way it show on the key board on #4 with a small line on top and bottom of dollar sign.

Can some one please help me where can I change these changes? I

Sri

We are having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Let the ABAPer know the problem along with the form name. If you are printing on a regular printer/non-sap printer, it may not print the correct sign. try to print it on check printer.

Thanks,

Thanks for the response. We tried to figure it out with the ABAP'r and we are using the same check printer with the MCIR font. We contacted the printer manufacturer and they told us to contact the MCIR vendor. Not sure how it would relate to the MICR but that has not been successful either.

We thought it would require special print controls but can't find one.

What did you abap'r end up doing?

Thanks

Yes I have heard about print controls..

Have you check with your basis team? You need to work with both your basis and abap teams. Let your basis team know about the printer name that your are working on..

Hello,

You can ask the ABAPer to change without any font.

If that is not working, he can change the form with available font and test.

Hope this will solve your issue.

Ravi

This is the solution

try different font, you can do some testing in MS Word

change the font, you'll see the dollar sign change according to font
