The business requirement is to capitalise an asset with a negative cost price. Based on our investigation, we have identified that we can set “negative values allowed indicator” for an asset.
Business has a concern around any negative impact that setting this indicator may have on further asset processing for the asset. We have reviewed asset related SAP Notes as far as possible without picking up any serious issues related to this setting.
From this forum I saw a check on depreciation keys around not allowing depreciation below zero setting.
Any other tips on what else to look out for and investigate further?

I understand you have the business requirement to allow asset value to go negative. I cannot think of any reasons to disallow a subnumber from going negative as long as total for main is above zero (logically an asset is not negative in total).
If you explain your purpose for this requirement maybe readers can suggest alternatives, or maybe the purpose will remind the readers of some negatives. Just trying to help. Regards, Greg
