Scheduling of KKAO (Calculate WIP)

Dear all,

does anyone know whether i can schedule KKAO (Calculating WIP) in the way that it will automatically input the period and fiscal year data based on the current date of the system? I know that it has a run in background option, but I need to schedule this as a weekly job so it is best if automation is possible and input from user is not required.

Hi Yiming,

If you wish to schedule this process (either with or without SCMA) to achieve a change in the period without user maintenance it is best to use one of the background programs and set variants.

For example using SE38/SA38 use program SAPKKA00BG set your selection parameters and when saving the variant choose Environment -> "Main. Sel.Variables" this will bring you to transaction STVARV which enables you to set a variable for the selection screen.

If you look up more details on STVARV this I think will help you.

If you are using schedule manager and require logs make sure to use the correct program (see sap note 421231).
