Hi there,

In the Crystal Report atom, you can choose return mode as 'Return Report' and add an xform to adjust the payload which is sent to the 'Upload file to file system' atom. In this atom, choose the payload type as 'BIN'. Then you will be able to open the PDF CR. General Process:

Call Crystal Report atom -> Xform -> Upload file to file system atom

The payload you need to prepare for the upload file to file system atom:

Hi Qiaoli.

Thank you very much. It works correctly.

I just have a problem with standard CR layouts, but this is a different subject.

Hi Qiaoli Ma,

Can you please help me how to do this. I wanted to design a package to export crystal report in html format so that I can use it to send mail in html format. Report may or may not have parameter.

Thanks in Advance

Dear Szymon Lipnicki:

I use B1if to create a PDF file with the Report Attom.

Please, check if this solution works in you envirioment.

1.- Create Report atom and a xform atom before and after to the Report Call

2.- In the xform before report atom, you need develop the source.

3.- In the report atom, you need something like follow

4.- In the xform atom after the Report call, you need create the name of the file and the path like this:

<RutaEscrituraPDFF>

C:\Reports\MyReport.pdf

</RutaEscrituraPDFF>

Is very important write the completly path with extention file.

5.- In another xform atom after the file name, you need have the follow code to catch the Report Atom result.

6.- You need save the result in the system using a store file atom like the follow:

Is important that you use PayloadType = #bin.

After all steps, you will have a PDF File in your path C:\Reports

Please, tell me if this solve you problem

Hi Martin.

I have a similar problem as described here.

Could you please share the definition of the xform atom after the Report call?

Hi Szymon,

Try using Bullzip PDF Printer.

Install it as a printer but the output will be the PDF file.

Hope this help.

Hi Szymon,

I have installed the latest one, but there is still a black out in the documentation about this.

But this PL includes a great improvement which is that you can now fill parameters to run reports or layouts.

I come back to you if I find something about our common issue.

Hi Damien,

Possibility to fill parameters is very big improvement. I'll have to check it.

Hi,

I think it is possible to save in XPS format when a report is imported into SAP(similar to pdf).

Step 1. Run a report

Step 2. Click File->Print in the main menu of SAP.

Step 3. Select Microsoft XPS document writer and click print.

Step 4. You will be prompted to enter the file name.

Step 5. Save the file and you can open it any like a pdf just by simply double clicking it.

Hi Karthik,

Thanks for your reply but it's not what I'm asking for. I generate report using Generate Crystal Reports atom in B1if. I wonder how to save such generated report as pdf file.

Kind regards,

Szymon
