Hello,

I have a two part question:

1. Can negative asset values exist in S/4 HANA Public Cloud v.1908 and are they supported?

2. Is there a feature to simulate depreciation in S/4 HANA Public Cloud v.1908? In ECC we could use report S_ALR_87012936

Hi Jacob,

yes negative asset values are possible depending on the settings made in the asset class.

By default only classes 4000 and 4001 are allowing this ( check the indicator in the SSCUI 102609 Specify Valuation Views for Asset Class).

Of course negative values are not accepted for all values, it depends on the country specific settings for each valuation view but the rules are more or less identical to the old depreciation area settings.

In general, negative values are allowed on ordinary , special depreciation and revaluation postings.

For the second question there was already a question here :https://answers.sap.com/questions/13244153/view.html

Regards,

Lucian

Hi Lucian,

Thank you for the answer. If by default SAP only allows negative values for AuC asset classes 4000 and 4001, does this indicate we shouldn't use negative values for other asset classes that are not AuC?
