SAP S/4 HANA cloud - Business Process Levels 0 to 6 hierarchy and alignment to Testing (BPM)

Hello. We are implementing SAP S/4 HANA cloud.

1. If we are using Excel to map business processes Level 0 to 6 what is the process hierarchy Header Title per level?
2. If we are using Excel what is the best way to align the Business Process Master list (BPM) of processes to the scope we need, test scenarios, test cases and test steps?

We are not using the SAP Activate methodology or SAP Solution Manager.

Hi,

If the question is on "best way" to do the below activity, then it is using Solution Manager - which I believe is a free tool given by SAP (part of the License). However, I do note that you have mentioned that you are using Excel.... In that case, use the SAP Best Practices Page->Scope item selection->BPMN download

If we are using Excel what is the best way to align the Business Process Master list (BPM) of processes to the scope we need, test scenarios, test cases and test steps?

Hello

Since you have mentioned that you are not going to use Solution Manager for managing your Business Processes, I would like you to go through below SAP link that explains how the excel format should be, in order to upload from excel into Solution Manager.

Just in case if you wanted to use Solution Manager, you can save lot of time and effort if you are building an excel in the expected format by SAP.

Using SAP Solution Manager MS Excel Upload - Example APQC content - Solution Manager - Support Wiki

If you don't want to follow any of SAP's recommended hierarchy, then simply categorize your hierarchy into levels that segregate the data to the least possible level. But you don't need to maintain your test scenarios, test cases in that hierarchy. May be a separate excel for managing your Test Management would be suffice.

Kindly mark the answer as helpful/correct if it aids you in anyway.

Thanks,

Vignesh

we not using Solution manager only Excel, but want to ensure we get every aspect for UAT covered: scope, business processes, test scenario, test scripts with correct column headings to align to the old Level hierarchy concept
