Dear All
I have a query regarding FI and Group Reporting in SAP Public Cloud.
Is every Company Code also set up as a Company for group reporting purposes, i.e. each Company Code and corresponding Company will be having 1 to 1 relationship?
When creating a Consolidation Unit, if the same Company Code isn’t established as a Company, the system won’t let us select 'Transfer from Universal Journal' Check.
Or
We have to assign parent single company as a Company to all Company Codes, i.e. 1 Parent Company to Multiple Company Codes to run the Group Reporting.

As you are talking about S/4 HANA Public Cloud, there are three layers, priority from low to high as following
1. Consolidation Unit is mapped to Company, not Company Code with the same naming conversion.
2. Consolidation Unit is mapped to Company customer specified via "Define Consolidation Unit" Fiori App which is good for those Companies with different naming conversion from Consolidation Unit.
3. Substitution of GR Core Fields, this is part of the GRPL feature that you could further define the mapping rules. It is possible that one Company is mapped to multiple Consolidation Units based on different Segments.

Thanks HengyeZhur for a quick response. Yes I am referring to SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud.
Lets assume, we have only 1 Company , which is mapped to 3 different company codes, i.e. Company Code 1 , Company Code 2 and Company Code 3. So can we mapped Consolidating Unit to one Company mapped with all company codes to get consolidation of all company codes i.e. C.C 1 , C.C 2 and C.C 3 in Consolidating Unit. Or we have to create 3 companies for having 1 to 1 mapping between each company and company code before assigning the companies to Consolidation Unit.
