I have a Brazilian customer that has two others plants, one in UK and the other in PT and needs the invoice documents to be forwarded to the tax agencies in real time, for a public project, what would be the suggestion, since the customeralready has already a system that generates invoice and communicates with the authorities. Do you suggest an API is made with a sales document in SAP that generates an invoice in the legacy system and does the latter communicate with the tax agency and return the invoice in SAP or does SAP Public delivers everything directly using DRC?
In terms of time and work, what would be the suggestion?
Remembering that it is a public project and we only have 2 months to complete.

Thanks for the question, I think you have two scenarios that was asked in the below question.
Scenario 1 : Customer is in midst of implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition, then in that case it is suggested to have Integrated scenario with Document Reporting & Compliance where your scenario will cater to either of the below capabilities.
Either 1 or 3, will work in your scenario to send the invoices from Public cloud seamlessly. Some of the blogs from experts to get a perspective.
Localization : https://pages.community.sap.com/topics/localization-s4hana-cloud
VAT Return for Portugal : https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/6dbc01446ae14a28b7142bb2203abc10/f4b1a5d71cb24798aadc9aff...
Scenario 2: Customer already had legacy system > connected to Tax authorities.
Can you please provide more details in this regard to comment on this scenario. Decision needs to taken whether customer is ok to have dual maintenance of the system (legacy and Public cloud to have sanity of data (sales data and invoices) , Additional integration effort of Configuration/testing to have data flow between SAP S/4HANA Cloud > legacy > SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Project Timelines, complexity of the business process etc.
Keeping in view of all the above and inline with Integration Strategy with Public cloud, i would use the standard applications whcih will suit my business case.
Hope this helps, otherwise please let us know. Thanks.
Best Regards,
Sri
