SAP Mig Import -- Index creation issue - ORA-01408

Good day SCN,

I have a SAP Heterogenous R3load Migration Import issue with index creation on a BI table (BW SEM system)

The ORACLE error is: ORA-01408: such column list  already indexed

The index is "/BIC/E100026~P" on table "/BIC/E100026"

Check the attached full definition of this object from the SAPFACT_1.STR file.

You can see that there are many other indexes on this BI table generated, and this "~P" index essentially includes the fields from all the other single-field indices.

The index though does exist on the source database, so it is currently unclear to me why it can exist on the source but not be allowed on the
target.

I can of course just set the TSK file to ignore ("ign") the index but I would rather understand this issue fully so that I can plan a process to deal with such issues correctly.

Regards to all

Hi

This is quite a common error on BW system.

You can follow recommendation from note 885441 - Common Migration Errors

Did you run SMIGR_CREATE_DDL before starting the export ?

1324665 - SMIGR_CREATE_DDL: save list of generated .SQL files

Thanks Yves - that is the exact SAP note - outlines the fix perfectly.

The import created (erroneously) the default index "/BIC/E100026~0", which blocked the generation of index "/BIC/E100026~P"

As soon as we understood this resolution was simply.

Many thanks Sir
