Dear SAP Community,

I am currently supporting a client from the German SME sector who is using the SAP ERP system SAP ECC (Enterprise Core Component) and is planning a transition to the SAP Cloud. It is still unclear whether this will be implemented as an on-premise or private cloud solution. My role involves developing an AI strategy for the After-Sales and IT departments, with the goal (for the IT department) to improve data interaction and processes within the ERP system and therefore across all departments.

I have heard about SAP Joule and would like to understand how this system could integrate into my client’s existing structure. Additionally, I am interested in how advanced the solution currently is, the requirements for data preparation, and how Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is supported. Currently, data maintenance is not in a format suitable for AI applications, which is a key factor in our planning.

I would like to know how fine-tunable the process chain is that I can control from Joule. And how it integrates with SAP Process Manager.

Joule is based on an already trained model. Which leaves no technical work on your side.
