Hi,
Our client is undergoing a carve out where employees are being transferred from the old company code to new company codes. Could someone please help me with the HR activities that would take place in this situation? Do we need to create a new Enterprise Structure/organisational or can we replicate the structure in the original company? Will we have to create new Cost centers for the employees?
I am new to this kind of a project and any help is appreciated.
TIA,
Puja

There should be a lot of thought invested into designing the Enterprise structure for any company, as this impacts nearly all subsequent configuration steps of Payroll & Time management. Understand from your client whether the new company code should have the same personnel areas & subareas as the existing one.If the client is clear that the structure should be unchanged, then the configuration bit is straightforward. You can copy the existing Pers. areas & subareas into new ones. Change the assignment of the new Pers. areas to the new company code.
Regarding cost centers, again, get this input from the client's FI team. It's a business decision about whether they want new cost centers, which most likely they will.
