Hi,
I want to confirm the terminology used for client copy and refresh. For ex. I have 3 clients in ECP QA system (QA-100, QA-200 and QA-300) and 1 client in ECP Prod (P-100). All these 3 QA clients have config and data in them at this point in time. P-100 is obviously is a blank system right now.
I want to repurpose a QA client let's say QA-200 for another test cycle and I want to copy everything from QA-100 to QA-200.
1) Will this be called client copy or client refresh?
2) Can our basis team do this or only SAP can do this for us?
3) Can anyone tell me approximate cost that SAP charges for this?
Further, for subsequent test cycle I want QA-100 as a fresh client where I can move my latest config.
1) Can we/SAP delete/purge everything from QA-200 OR?
2) Can we get QA-200 refreshed from P-100 (which is a blank system)? I want to make sure other QA clients i.e., 100 and 300 do not get refreshed from P-100.
Hi @rsnit ,
As per my understanding and this Note point 14, client copy copies only client specific data and client independent (cross-client) objects are not copied. As I want a fresh client hence I asked "Can we get QA-200 refreshed from P-100 (which is a blank system)". but it seems after copy from P-100 to QA-200 the client independent objects existing in QA-200 will remain and won't get deleted. Are you saying the client independent objects will be deleted in this client copy?
