SAP Central Business Configuration - Reduces TCO and time to value for customers

Hi,

we are an existing cloud customer, and will face the conversion to SAP CBC soon. As seen in the courses, SAP CBC brings some benefits for cloud customers, such as reduced time-to-value and TCO. This comes from a preconfigured environment, which we understand reduce the effort for configuration activities within the system. In our case, we are cloud customers working productively with S4HC essentials since 2019. How are we going to see this benefits? How will CBC reduce our TCO?

Some of the benefits we were told when starting to work with SAP S4h/C essentials edition were:

▪ Quick access to a preconfigured, ready-to-run system

Are we going to benefit again from a quicker access to preconfiguration or this is just a general advantage that S4HC gives customers, regardless of the use of CBC instead of Manage your solution app?

In terms of another benefit CBC brings to customers, "Option to adopt preconfiguration to customer needs", how would we benefit from it?

Not downplaying the 'Manage Your Solution' but SAP Central Business Configuration is a new-age configuration hub not just for configuring your SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public) but a tool which is soon going to cover the implementation activities for achieving Intelligent Enterprise. Hence the biggest benefit down the line would be that you will have a central hub for all configurational activities for solutions like SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SuccessFactors and so on in terms of Cloud solutions. In this journey the SAP S/4HANA Cloud is just the first solution to start with integrating with the SAP Central Business Configuration.

Next, there is another immediate benefit by having a separate tool that is out-of-box mapped from the backend system for configuring your solution which directly matches with the Activate framework (which was a limitation in Manage Your Solution) - to note that the milestone in SAP Central Business Configuration do not match 1:1 to the Activate phases.

Also related to the pre-guided configuration, for all the new customers onboarding with the SAP S/4HANA Cloud will be handed over with the Starter project which is exactly similar with what you had in 'Manage Your Solution'.
