Dear SAP professionals ,
i have customer who plan to implement HA on different sites with SAP Business one High Availability , he plan to buy required hardware , including storage , but IBM lenovo advised him the no need for storage since he want to have SAP SLT for realtime replication , they said it is required to have database on server directly because SLT will replicate the tables live , and using database on server directly is much faster for data access and processing than have it on storage , how safe and is what they said correct to use SAP B1 Database on server directly instead of implement databases on storage ?
please advise
Hi Mostafa,
probably we can help with that. My company iSystems is a Lenovo Partner and we build HA systems for B1 around the world. We never used SAP SLT for B1. B1 and HANA comes with a lot of functions for system replication. Installing another tool is unnecessary. Using a central storage depends on the user quantity. We use sometime, sometime not :). There are many questions and options.
Best Steffen
