Sales Orders - Product allocation failure report

We are on S/4 HANA 1909 and have configured Product Allocation functionality and is working fine.

Client has a requirement to capture Sales orders that could not be confirmed due to failed Product Allocation checks (meaning, Ordered Quantity > Allocated Quantity). Suppose, Sales Order quantity was 300, allocated stock is 200 and available stock is 100. Client would like to see 300 vs 200 quantity comparison.

SAP captures the final allocated quantity in PAQTYASSGMT-PRODALLOCASSIGNEDQUANTITY. In this case, PAQTYASSGMT will have 100 qty.

Has anyone dealt with this scenario before? If so, how have you approached this?

The approach I have taken is as follows:

In the include FV45PFAP_VBAP_BEARBEITEN_VORBE, in subroutine VBAP_BEARBEITEN_VORBEREITEN, ENHANCEMENT-POINT VBAP_BEARBEITEN_VORBEREITEN_10 SPOTS ES_SAPFV45P, I could capture PAL results buffer using CL_PAL_QTY_ASSGMT_BUFFER=>GET_INSTANCE( IF_PAL_CHECK_TYPE_C=>SC_SALES )-> IF_PAL_QTY_ASSGMT_BUFFER~GET_ITEM_QTY_ASSGMT_FROM_BUF( ). I get the results buffer most of the time correctly, but not always. Is there a better way to do this, to achieve the results?

Hello John,

From the original question: Sales Order quantity was 300, allocated stock is 200 and available stock is 100. Client would like to see 300 vs 200 quantity comparison.

As far as I know, the app doesn't show that. The app shows 300 vs 100 comparison.

Thanks,

Juwin

Dear Juwin,

Unfortunately, it seems to be taking longer than usual for your question to be answered. You might want to try an alternative route to speed things up.

Please check if a similar question has already been asked in the Community. We have found that sometimes questions that have been answered before are no longer receiving responses.

The easiest way to do this, is to visit the All Questions page and search for your specific topic.

You could also check the SAP Support Portal and search for SAP Notes, SAP Knowledge Base Articles and more.

If all of this doesn’t work, I would suggest that you create a support ticket. All you need to do is log onto the SAP Support Portal with your S-user ID and password: http://service.sap.com/message

Thanks,
