Now there is a sales order for semi-finished products. I want to run the planned order through the sales order, but the display interface in MD04 is empty, but the planned order can be run through MD61. I checked that the master data MRP type is PD and policy is 70. Check that the plan category in the sales order is CP. I don't know what the problem is now. I hope you experts can help me look at this problem
Hello @WIN
Thanks for your question. Here are some steps and considerations to help identify and resolve the problem:
1.Check Sales Order Requirements:
- Ensure that the sales order has been saved and is correctly generating requirements.
- Verify that the sales order item category is relevant for MRP. The item category should be set up to create a requirement in MRP.
2.Check MRP Type and Strategy Group:
- You mentioned that the MRP type is PD (Planned Independent Requirements) and the policy is 70. Ensure that the strategy group assigned to the material master is appropriate for sales order planning. Common strategy groups for make-to-order scenarios include 20 (Make-to-Order Production) or 50 (Planning without Final Assembly).
- Check the strategy group in the material master (MRP 3 view) and ensure it aligns with your planning requirements.
3. Check Availability Check and Requirements Type:
- Verify the requirements type in the sales order schedule line category. It should correspond to the planning strategy and ensure that it is generating the correct requirements.
- Check the configuration under Production -> Material Requirements Planning -> Planning Strategy -> Define Strategy Group to ensure the correct assignment of requirements types.
4.Check MD04 Display Settings:
- Ensure that the display settings in MD04 are not filtering out the planned orders. Check the selection parameters and ensure that planned orders are included in the display.
5. MRP Run:
- Ensure that an MRP run has been executed for the material. After running MRP, check MD04 again to see if the planned orders are now visible.
6. Check Planned Independent Requirements (PIR):
- Since you mentioned that planned orders can be run through MD61, ensure that there are no conflicting planned independent requirements (PIR) that might be affecting the visibility of sales order-related planned orders.
7. Check for Errors or Logs:
- Review the MRP run logs for any errors or warnings that might indicate issues with the sales order requirements or planned order generation.
8. Check Configuration and Customization:
- Review any customizations or enhancements that might affect MRP and planned order visibility. Ensure that there are no user exits or BAdIs that might be influencing the behavior.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify the root cause of why the planned order is not appearing in MD04 for the sales order. If the issue persists, consider involving your SAP support team who can provide more in-depth analysis and assistance.
Kind Regards
Dave
